Washington DC

What can I say about Washington DC,  The Nations Capital.
There is so much history here a person could spend his whole life here and never even scratch the surface.

The Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument the Smithsonian and the Vietnam War Memorial jut too many to mention.

The Vietnam Wall has special meaning to me.  One was being a part of that war and the other was I know some of the names that are on that wall.  They were brothers, in fact we were all brothers.

I suppose my most favorite is the Marine Corps War Memorial.  Not only is it an impressive piece of sculpture, it's a reminder of our responsibilities as citizens and Marines to keep this country free.  Semper Fidelis.  It's not just a motto, it's a life time commitment.
Ooh rah!

No trip to DC is complete without taking the short drive to Mount Vernon and George Washington's estate.  Washington was truly a remarkable man.
